On Friday, May 5th, approximately twenty-eight Pinellas MYcroSchool students participated in a "hands-on" volunteer project. Students and teachers painted the interior of the "Books on the Move" bookmobile at the Pinellas MYcroSchool High School parking lot located at 840 3rd Avenue South, St. Pete (Webb’s Plaza).

Students created a magical environment for preschoolers and their parents under the creative direction of Ms. Valerie Thompson. MYcroSchool’s aspiring artists illustrated the bus’s interior with lovable lions, grinning giraffes, frocking frogs and more.

Books on the Move supports parents with the knowledge and resources they need to provide a rich early literacy environment for their children. Their mission is to create a culture of reading—one neighborhood, one lap, and one book at a time.
