mlk2005_nolineThe “King’s Dream Unite” mural created by artist Ya La’ford with the help of MYcroSchool Pinellas high school students and other volunteers will debut at the historic Manhattan Casino on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, at 9:00 am.

This Project is made possible by a service award from the MLK Day of Service Project.

The mural celebrates Dr. King’s dream for educational equality and social justice. MYcroSchool Pinellas students along with other community members have been involved in the preparation and creation of the mural.

Commitment to Martin Luther King Jr.’s Legacy

Artist and MYcroSchool Pinellas Board Member Ya La’ford commented, “’King’s Dream Unite’ mural recognizes and relives Martin Luther King’s dream to empower communities through education. This mural seeks to enlighten and encourage community engagement to promote and further King’s Dream to ensure a brighter future for our youth. Kings Dream Unite – together we are better!”

All community members are invited to help with the Day of Service mural project on January 9-12 and 16-17 as well as the moving mural on January 18.
