Randy Starling, principal of MYcroSchool Gainesville, represented the charter high school at a community forum to discuss ways to keep students in school in Alachua County.

The Education Symposium was hosted by the United Way. It gathered educational leaders from Gainesville to discuss ways schools and other groups can work together to address the dropout crisis.

As the principal of a high school focused on dropout recovery and getting young people back on-track to graduation, Mr. Starling’s insights were valuable. One outcome of the meeting was to create a directory so students and families know what resources are available.
